SHORT DESCRIPTION
In the heart of the 8th district of Marseille, Art'chipel is a natural oasis with a very rich plant heritage within a densely populated territory. The balance between people and nature is the basis of our project. Art'chipel is designed to fit harmoniously and sustainably into the neighbourhood's urban fabric, while respecting existing biodiversity. It is also resolutely forward-looking, proposing innovative solutions for the development of better individual and collective living. We propose a project that has included in its DNA a future mutability and a certain transformation in order to adapt to future practices and needs. Our project reflects a succession of buildings that merge into the landscape, its morphological design allows for both sun protection and natural cooling of each dwelling to avoid the systematic use of air conditioning in hot southern climates. This results in a significant energy saving at the project scale. All the apartments are built on the same principles: flexibility, natural light and outdoor spaces - as we wanted to create a link between the private and the common, spaces of intimacy and places that encourage exchange and sharing in an exceptional living environment. The innovations offered in this project respond to both societal and environmental issues: Camouflage in nature - Cool patios allowing for a greater number of through dwellings - Circulation and common areas naturally lit and ventilated thanks to the patios - Private outdoor spaces for all dwellings, adding 30% to interior surfaces - Shared outdoor spaces for all dwellings, adding 10% to interior surfaces - Bioclimatic facades generating protected outdoor living spaces, allowing air circulation between exterior facades and patios, minimizing thermal impact and thus avoiding air conditioning in buildings - A permeable double skin composed of an envelope of shading devices - BDM Label
