SHORT DESCRIPTION
A dental clinic with a large triangular roof that rests lightly on the glass façade The project site is located in the southeastern part of Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, where the land is rich in nature, and the development has resulted in uniform housing units. We wanted to create a clinic that would bring change to the streetscape using the context of roofs, trees, and landscape. The interlocking triangle roofs bring change to the entire city, and the transparent façade under the roof, where triangles are folded and overlapped, illuminates the city brightly. Inside, the boundary between the building and the outside is obscured by the inclusion of glass with only a wooden border. The way the view opens up from the middle waiting area to the waiting area changes the view of the city and the view from inside. By seamlessly connecting these operations, the slanted eaves that protrude deeply from the interior space create a scene that fluidly narrows the view. The diagonally cut openings give various scenes to the interior space, and the triangle roofs light up the entire city. I hope that this project will create a stir in this increasingly standardized land and help to create something new.
