China Merchants Wuchang Prelude Demonstration Area seamlessly integrates the heritage of Jingchu culture with modern design innovation. Scroll of History Merging with the City: The entrance features an 80-meter-wide gateway, symbolically designed in the form of a "scroll," highlighting the rich history of Wuhan's central area. "Swallow" Element Throughout the Community: The design incorporates the "swallow" element, symbolizing prosperity and hope. Sculptures and ceiling designs are inspired by swallows, with this motif running throughout the community, endowing the project with a unique cultural essence. Central Station and Vehicle Arrival Experience: The project introduces an innovative central station design, restructuring the arrival experience. An independent vehicle drop-off area and 24-hour sheltered design ensure a prestigious and comfortable vehicle arrival experience. The central station also serves as a multifunctional space connecting the entrance and underground parking. Underground Parking: Leveraging the site's elevation, a two-level underground parking lot is created. It connects seamlessly to the city's roads and is linked to the residential lobby, featuring a double-height space that enhances the experience of arriving home. Sheltered Path Home: Utilizing the site's elevation, the project designs sheltered corridors for rain-free homecoming. These corridors connect garden landscapes with the residential elevated floors, enhancing the convenience and comfort of living in the community.
