SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Nanjing Back To Yaxi Manor Resort is located in Gaochun County, China's first Cittaslow region and a National 4A Tourist Scenic Spot. The project embodies a harmonious lifestyle between humanity and nature. The design focuses on preserving nature's essence and seamlessly integrating it into the overall aesthetic. The reception center of the hotel features a central island platform that displays organic produce from the estate's farms, emphasizing the connection between operation and design, as well as life and nature. The reception desk is hidden on one side, allowing the island platform to become a focal point. From the designer's perspective, the harmony between architecture and environment begins with reflection, exploration, and application of local characteristics - the initial steps toward returning to nature. The Bamboo Grove Single Bedroom , structured with Tatami mats, forms a Japanese-style tourist cottage, where bamboo and wood interweave between earth and walls. A skylight opens up the natural vista of the space, and the designer places blocks of original wood color within, creating layers and an intriguing play of light and shadow. The use of natural materials, such as rammed earth and wood, not only promotes environmental protection but also contributes to the artistic expression and overall ambiance of the spaces. The design creates a relaxing lounge area that encourages social interactions and provides a serene environment for guests to unwind. Overall, the The Nanjing Back To Yaxi Manor Resort serves as a retreat that combines external landscapes with a narrative of seclusion. The dynamic changes of the surrounding environment, including the sounds of frogs in the paddy fields, birds in the woods, and gentle lake waves, create a serene atmosphere that allows travelers to reconnect with their inner peace.
