SHORT DESCRIPTION

"AIR" Train High, Perform High! Hyex Kaihin-Makuhari promotes "Altitude Training in the City." The concept of this facility is to hack training through an altitude-training environment and methodology, aiming to enhance athletic performance. By training, in a hypoxic room—where oxygen levels are reduced while air pressure remains unchanged—cardiopulmonary function is strengthened, and the body's ability to transport oxygen through the bloodstream improves, ultimately leading to enhanced performance. Therefore, we attempted to design the “air” itself, essential for improving performance. Upon entering, visitors pass through a space bathed in a deep, clear sky blue, leading to the warm-up area—a mirrored space where they can release bodily tension while gazing up at a transparent blue ceiling. Beyond this, the Athlete Room awaits—an environment maintained at low oxygen levels and immersed in a striking red hue, symbolizing oxygen-rich blood flowing through the body. Next to it, the VR Training Room offers an immersive workout experience by integrating digital gaming elements. Through this space and training, we hope pure air will circulate throughout people's bodies, making them feel and perform"High."
