SHORT DESCRIPTION

In the digital era, Chinese characters—as vital symbols of national spirit—call for modern expressions that align with contemporary communication needs, aesthetic trends, and personal expression preferences. The font was created with this vision, reinterpreting the aesthetics of traditional Chinese characters through a modern design language. It seeks not only to enrich daily life but also to carry forward traditional Chinese culture. The font is inspired by the Stele of Cuan Baozi from the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420), a monument whose inscriptions mark the transition from official script to regular script and embody profound cultural and historical value. The font retains the ancient charm of the original stele inscriptions—for instance, the horizontal strokes are flat in the middle with upturned ends, reminiscent of the flying eaves of traditional Chinese architecture, creating a strong sense of rhythm. Meanwhile, it adapts to modern aesthetics and practical needs, with clear, fluid strokes that ensure everyday readability. The starting and turning points of strokes are predominantly executed with angular brush forms, lending the font a sense of strength and stability, while strokes such as pie (left-falling), na (right-falling), and gou (hook) are rendered with rounded, graceful forms, adding softness and harmony. This interplay of angular and rounded strokes balances weight with dynamism, ensuring visual coherence and stylistic consistency across various applications. It is particularly well-suited for traditional festival promotions, historical document presentation, branding initiatives, and cultural creative projects, showcasing the elegance of Chinese characters while conveying the profundity of Chinese culture.
